Traveling Turtle LLC is Derrek and Kayla — a husband-and-wife team based in Kuna, Idaho who believe that the right adventure does something lasting. Not just a good photo. A real shift in how you connect with the people you’re traveling with.
Derrek brings 17 years of adventure travel experience and planning; genuine on-the-ground travel experience — personally visiting, vetting, and stress-testing every destination and operator in our catalog. Kayla brings 7 years of her own international travel background with logistical precision and genuine hospitality that only a loving wife can bring to every client experience. Between us, we’ve handled hundreds of moving parts so you can show up and enjoy the trip, not manage it.

The rental car in Hawaii was the thing that made the whole trip. We drove to the North Shore on a Wednesday with nothing planned — that was the best day of the trip. Derrek told us not to over-schedule and he was right.
